Mushroom Immune Boosting BrothThis immune boosting broth recipe is full of antioxidants, and immune boosting polysaccharides from the mushrooms. Astragalus is anti-bacterial and anti-viral. The ginger and turmeric makes this a very anti-inflammatory broth as well. Ingredients:
Add the bones and every ingredient except the mushrooms in a large slow cooker or a stock pot. Add water to cover the bones and ingredients. Slow cook overnight or for 12-24 hours on a very low simmer. Skim fat from top. Add mushrooms in the last hour of cooking time. Strain and store. Tip: Do not discard the vegetables, rather add them to your pets food for added enhancement. Optional: right before serving, add a scoop of Resilience to amp up the antioxidants. Reserve broth for one week, and freeze the rest, Chicken Feet Bone BrothThis bone broth recipe is chalk full of glucosamine and chondroitin, minerals, and not to mention the dense gelatin this recipe will yield. Ingredients:
Place the cleaned feet into a large stock pot and cover with the water. Bring to a boil then turn water down to a simmer. Add water as necessary to keep feet covered, skim the fat off as you go. Simmer for 12 hours or more. Strain the broth, and serve. Keeps one week fresh in the fridge, freeze the rest. Always use organic ingredients when making bone broth.
